- The new shared element transition API continues to get increased interest. The new API promises web apps that feel like single page apps (SPAs) but built on an the easier architecture of multi-page apps (MPA). This week there was a compelling demo using Astro and Chris Coyier (creator of CSS Tricks) also did a write up declaring it “FLIPping cool”. We’ll discuss the potential of this API and how it might rewrite the JavaScript and web app framework landscape.
What To Expect This Week
- The team over at Deno has released a new version that stabilized compatibility with the massive npm ecosystem. We’ll discuss with Tech Lead Lucas Casonato, the implications for using Deno and npm together and the potential impact to Deno adoption.
- FITC recently hosted a panel on Front-End Framework Trends with the creators of Eleventy, Astro, and Qwik. There’s nothing the JavaScript ecosystem likes more than debating frameworks so let’s discuss the key takeaways from the talk.
